BLUM: New Excellent Solutions for the Current Furniture Trends

German Design Award and iF Design Award for flap lift and fastening system

The design of Blum products convinces internationally and is repeatedly honored. The Austrian hardware specialist has recently received the German Design Award for two products: for its new Expando T fastening system and for the Aventos HK top flap system. For the latter there was also the iF Design Award.

Excellent product design by Blum

Design plays a major role in the development of modern furniture fittings. On the one hand, sophisticated solutions support current furniture trends. On the other hand, they themselves impress through their form and function.

Currently, the Austrian furniture fittings manufacturer Blum can look forward to a particularly coveted award – and for two products at once: the innovative German Design Award 2019, the innovative fastening system for thin fronts in extraordinary materials, as well as the Aventos HK top flap system in a straightforward design and small size. Blum also secured the iF Design Award for the new flap system.

The non-profit foundation is committed to the social recognition of good product design and honors innovative products and projects, their manufacturers and designers, which are ground breaking in the German and international design landscape. The iF Design Award has been awarded since 1954 by the iF Industrie Forum Design e. V. based in Hannover for outstanding industrial design in order to build bridges between culture and business.
