FRANKE: sink & tap as a filigree unit

With KWC ERA, Franke has a design line in its portfolio in which the kitchen sink and faucet combine to form a high-quality design unit – highly functional and precise. The design language is deliberately minimalist and filigree and is aimed at people who appreciate high-quality and innovative design.

With numerous innovations, KWC has driven the development of kitchen faucets since 1874 – especially with the invention of the first 1-hole kitchen faucet with retractable hose shower in 1957. But the ultimate goal has always been to perfect the products in the overall context of aesthetics and functionality and quality – as a new experience and a comprehensive experience. KWC has been part of the Franke Group since 2013. In this context – as a consistent next stage of development – KWC’s high-end fittings have been supplemented with suitable sinks. The result is KWC ERA, the masterful combination of mixer and sink for a high-quality kitchen ambience.

With KWC ERA, Franke sets exceptional standards in terms of aesthetics, precision and installation. The design line impresses with its extremely minimalist design language and its slim, filigree proportions. The harmonious interplay of glossy and brushed stainless steel, which runs harmoniously from the base of the mixer to the edge of the sink, ensures discreet highlights.

Extremely fine proportions characterize the KWC ERA sink: So far unique is the only 4 mm narrow edge of the pool and the narrow radius of 8 mm. Photo: Franke GmbH

The high-quality stainless steel fitting KWC ERA achieves a particularly striking effect due to its tall, narrow body. The outlet pipe has an extremely thin diameter of only 18 mm. A laminar jet regulator ensures crystal clear and splash-free water. In four spout versions, the KWC ERA lever mixers respond to the individual style preferences, working methods and usage habits of the sink: Gravity, J, L spout and J spout with pull-out diverter. The swivel range can be extended from 150 ° to 360 °.

The ERA sink is a real eye-catcher due to its extremely fine proportions: this is how the – hitherto unique on the market – only produce
4 mm narrow pool edge and a pelvic radius of 8 mm a very delicate and restrained appearance. The minimalist overall design is rounded off by the Ghost Overflow – an overflow that is integrated invisibly into the drain of the sink. The new installation method “Intop” also sets new design standards: the pelvis is inserted so perfectly into the worktop that the precision-made, just four millimetre thin, glossy sink rim is flush with the worktop.

KWC has four pool widths in the portfolio: 34, 40, 54 and spacious 72 cm. The functionality of the new line can be extended with exclusive accessories from KWC, such as the design-identical soap dispenser, the exclusive teak cutting board, the noble stainless steel and teak drainer or the stainless steel and black silicone roll mat.
